In 1997, the gun discharged unexpectedly in Louisiana, resulting in the death of Hondo Jones, who resided in Louisiana at the time of his death. In 1967, Sauer manufactured a revolver and sold it to an independent distributor in Los Angeles, California. formerly known as SIG Swiss Industrial Company (“SIG”). Sauer and Sohn GmbH (“Sauer”) and SIG Industrial Company Holding Ltd. The appellants challenge the trial court's order granting the special appearances of SIG Arms Sauer GmbH formerly known as J.P. Suit was brought in Texas, where the deceased's mother lives. This accelerated appeal arises out of an accident where a revolver manufactured in Germany caused the death of a Louisiana resident when the revolver was dropped and discharged in Louisiana.
